SA business,
simplified.
Invoice your customers, reconcile your bank, run payroll on the current SARS tax tables, track stock and your sales pipeline, and get your VAT201 worked out and ready to upload — the whole business in one place that speaks rands and VAT out of the box.
Thirteen modules, one ledger
Everything posts to the same double-entry ledger, so an invoice you send, a receipt you photograph and a payslip you approve all show up in the same trial balance. The badge on each card shows the plan it unlocks on.

Send a tax invoice in under a minute
A three-step wizard: pick the customer and terms, add the lines, review and send. Each line can be a product (quantity × unit price) or a service (hours × rate), with its own discount as a percentage or a rand amount, and its own VAT treatment.
- Nine document types: tax invoice, quote, pro-forma, deposit, credit and debit note, delivery note, purchase order, receipt
- Attach a PayFast payment link on your own merchant account and let the payments inbox match the money back
- Send by email or WhatsApp, or copy a portal link for the customer
- Rename headings, hide columns and set numbering per document type in Invoice Settings
Reconcile the bank without the spreadsheet
Import the statement your bank gives you — CSV or OFX — map the columns once, and Ledgr suggests a match for each line with a confidence score. Accept the good ones in bulk and turn the recurring ones into rules.
- FNB, Standard Bank, ABSA, Nedbank, Capitec, Investec, TymeBank, Discovery Bank and African Bank
- Rules match on description patterns and post to the category you choose
- Receipts captured on your phone meet the bank line they belong to
- A reconciliation ring per account shows what is still unmatched
Payroll and SARS on the current tables
Capture an employee once and Ledgr works out PAYE across the seven 2026/27 brackets, applies the primary rebate, caps UIF at R177.12 a month each side and adds SDL at 1%. Approve the run and the EMP201 totals are ready.
- Payslips as PDF, sent by email or WhatsApp
- BCEA leave: 15 days annual, 30 days sick per three-year cycle, 3 days family responsibility
- EMP201 monthly, EMP501 twice a year, IRP5 certificates per employee
- VAT201 and IRP6 computed from the ledger you already posted to
The local details are the whole job
Generic accounting software makes you bolt South Africa on afterwards. Ledgr starts there.
Statutory maths built in
7 PAYE brackets from 18% to 45%, the R17 820 primary rebate, UIF capped at R177.12 a month each side and SDL at 1% of remuneration.
Returns from your own ledger
Output and input VAT roll up into the VAT201 boxes. Payroll rolls up into EMP201 and EMP501. Nothing is retyped from a spreadsheet.
Mileage at the SARS rate
Log the trip, Ledgr calculates the claim at the prescribed rate and files it in the approval queue with the rest of the expense claims.
Scorecard tracking
Track all six elements and your current level, with the numbers pulled from the procurement and payroll data already in the system.
Offline-first by design
Work through an outage on a local database and sync when the power comes back. Conflict resolution is built in, not a merge dialog.
Compliant retention
Seven-year audit retention, an event log with severity levels, consent handling and deletion requests you can actually action.
Start free, add what you need
Prices in rands per month, excluding VAT. One price per business — users and transactions are never metered, and every module applies to every company you run rather than being charged again on each. Change plan whenever; the modules unlock immediately.
